Roadway Design: HDC professionals are experienced in residential developments and minor roadway improvement design for collector and minor arterial streets. HDC respects the topography associated with a project, resulting in less site disturbance and reduced grading.
Utility Improvements and Expansions: Includes sanitary and water main extensions and storm sewer layout and design. HDC strives to design site utilities so that the site is minimally impacted by the utilities, and future roadway widening and improvements are accounted for.
Storm Water Management design services require up-to-date expertise. Whether for a single commercial lot or the overall development, HDC has a broad range of experience with storm water design in both large and small municipalities around eastern Iowa, including detention basin and water quality design.
Storm Water Permitting has become more complicated in recent years. HDC prepares NPDES stormwater permit applications and the required grading and erosion control plans and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) for sites under contruction.
